Queer! Film Festival 2007, Closing Party

*All photos were taken using Fuji MDL-55 analogue pocket camera. They were then printed and scanned to computer.*

Queer! Film Festival is an annual event in Indonesia. It is regularly held in Jakarta, Jogja, Bandung, Surabaya and Denpasar. The main goal of the event is to create awareness about LGBT and HIV/AIDS related issues. It is not only aimed for the LGBT community, but to society in general. Aside from showing films, it also holds interesting discussions and of course, performances. It is an event that everybody could enjoy. So fear not, fellow straightmates! You’ll definitely learn something good from this event.

I am proud that I did not just experience the fabulous Q!FFest 2007 but also got involved in some of the events (as a research for my Bachelor’s thesis). The people I met there were not just amazing inside out but also dedicated to the cause, and sure the hell could work the runway in such va-va-voom! Here are some photos to immortalize the night of the closing party. Everybody had a good time celebrating their months of hard work, and for sure would prepare for the coming festival next year.
