Petition to save the animals @Surabaya Zoo

Today’s post will be a bit different and sad. The Indonesian capital city of East Java Province, Surabaya, hosts a zoo which they unfortunately neglect. The result is many animals suffer from diseases and they are dying slowly, in a horrible way. Several animals such as a komodo dragon, a giraffe, and a Sumatran tiger died because of the diseases. Now a female tiger named Melanie is suffering from acute diarrhea, causing her to lose so much weight. She’s practically only skin and bones now! But from her piercing gaze you know that Melanie is a fierce fighter.
This petition is to demand Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment to take actions in order to protect and give proper treatments for these unfortunate animals, as well as bringing the Surabaya Zoo’s staff to justice. What they are doing to these creatures are simply inhumane and cannot be tolerated!
So, please take few minutes of your time to sign the petition below. It also has Surabaya Zoo’s story in English (written in italic). Small steps make big change!
